Senior Services

Through Federal Older Americans Act funding and a variety of state and local sources, the Area 4 Agency on Aging help adults 60 and older gain access to a wide range of services, many designed to meet their specific local needs.

The seniors we serve at Area 4 Agency on Aging have a myriad of needs. Many can be addressed within the framework of the programs we fund. At times, however, it is information which is crucial to particular problems seniors face.

A4AA funds the following programs:

• Congregate Nutrition / Home-Delivered Meals
• Elder abuse prevention
• Employment
• Focal Points
• Health insurance counseling and advocacy
• Home health and personal care services
• Health assessments and health screenings
• In-home care and assistance
• Kinship care (grandparents raising grandchildren)
• Legal assistance
• Medication management
• Mental health services
• Minor home modifications
• Transportation services and vouchers for rides
• and Volunteer opportunities
