Elder Abuse Prevention Project

The Elder Abuse Prevention Project provides training for paid workers in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE’s) including instructions on how to complete mandated elder abuse reports of suspected abuse.

Ombudsman Services

The Ombudsman Program provides information and complaint resolution for residents of long term care facilities in the seven counties of Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Yolo, Yuba and Sutter. In addition to paid staff, the ombudsman program recruits and trains an average of 65 volunteers who complete extensive training and volunteer at least 20 hours per month assisting residents in long term care facilities. Ombudsmen are trained to receive and investigate reports of suspected abuse.

Senior Lunch Program provides hot, nutritious lunches for adults 60 and older throughout Sierra County in a congregate setting. Home-Delivered Meals provide hot, nutritious lunches for adults 60 and older, homebound and unable to prepare meals alone.
