Growing Old in the New Era of Longevity: What every family should know about the future of aging and aging services
Thursday, March 11, 2010 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon
Multipurpose Senior Center 11577 E. Avenue in Auburn
{Click to view the flyer for this event.}
Every Spring, Area 4 Agency on Aging conducts at least one public hearing. The purpose of these hearings is: 1) To receive input on changes to our Area Plan goals and objectives, 2) To give updates on Needs Assessment activities, and 3) To present expected funding levels for the upcoming fiscal year.
This year, we will still cover those topics, but we are taking a different approach to the traditional, public hearing process.
The primary focus of the March 11 meeting will be the rapid aging of our community and, specifically, what individual seniors and their families should be doing to prepare for the consequences of that trend.
Anyone who would like to comment on our Area Plan, on our Needs Assessment, or on our expected funding levels is encouraged to either attend the public meeting or to submit your comments in writing on or before March 17.
Comments or questions should be directed to:
