National Figures
The Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention(CDC) has a variety of data on the rates of falls for senior
citizens.
The odds of being killed as a result of fall are shown on the
National Safety Council website.
State and County Figures
The EPIC (Epidemiology and Prevention for Injury Control Branch), a division
of the California Department of Health Services, maintains data on the number
of seniors who sustain fatal and nonfatal injuries. The online database can be searched and sorted in various ways to show statewide or county information.
