National Figures The National Center for Disease Control (CDC) has a variety of data on the rates of falls for senior citizens. The odds of being killed as a result of fall are shown on the National Safety Council website. State and County Figures The EPIC (Epidemiology and Prevention for Injury Control Branch), a division of the California Department of Health Services, maintains data on the number of seniors who sustain fatal and nonfatal injuries.
