Contracted Service Provider
Disaster Assistance Planning

Disasters generally have their greatest impact on people, who because of age, disability, income or language, have a harder time prepairing for and recovering from such events.  It is imperative that AAAs be prepared to assist their service population and emergency responders in the event of disaster within their Planning and Service Area (PSA).

A4AA DISASTER MISSION

The primary disaster role of A4AA is to maintain the continuity of critical services to older persons and to ensure that the special needs of all older persons are adequately met for a safe and full recovery from a disaster.

It is the responsibility for A4AA to prepare our organization, staff and subcontractors to meet the challenges of a disaster.  The resources listed below will enable service providers to, at a minimum, meet their contractual obligations in planning for disasters, as well as assist older adults in their communities to prepare for the unexpected.
